Sharon contirbutes regularly to the Rock magazine

The ministry in Uganda took a very public turn when Sharon was invited to participate on both Radio and national TV through TV host Edwin Musiime. Mango International was then featured in the glossy Rock magazine published by Edwin. Sharon became a regular writer/‘agony aunt’ tackling subjects such as sexual purity, fidelity in marriage, divorce and other issues often not discussed freely in African culture. Sharon is now regularly interviewed on Edwin’s UBC ‘Lifetalk’ show.

In stark contrast to the ministry in the capital city of Kampala, Mango also  takes mission teams to remote rural communities, where they conduct evangelistic meetings in addition to seminars on a range of practical healthcare issues for community leaders.

Exuberant dancing by the ladies of Nebbi town

Crowds between 500 and 3000 comfortably walk up to 20 miles to attend these events, gathering for three days in makeshift tents and sleeping on hired mattresses under the stars. Such is the hunger for the things of God, it is not surprising that many go away having received salvation, physical and emotional healing and freedom from demonic oppression.

Following such a mission to Nebbi, in north west Uganda, with a ladies team, Sharon has committed to build a much needed maternity clinic in the region to combat the high infant and maternal mortality rate. This will be done through the Eagles Wings humanitarian aid charity.
